Lead Hill, in Boone County, Arkansas, has a mining heritage which dates back to the early 1900s. The old mining town was buried under the waters of Bull shoals Lake when the lake was created in the early 1950s.
At that time, residents moved to the new Lead Hill, located on higher ground.
Lead Hill is a small town with lots of room to grow. The town’s current population is 271 (2010 U.S. Census) and city officials would welcome additional businesses and residents.
Lead Hill has an industrial park with existing small industries and land available. Lead Hill has an excellent school, public services, and businesses to serve residents’ needs including a medical clinic, bank, general store and restaurants.
Because Lead Hill is situated on the shores of Bull Shoals Lake, recreational activities abound with water sports. Families go to the lake as often as possible to fish, swim, boat and simply enjoy the outdoors. Branson, MO., the Live Music Capital of the U.S., is less than an hour’s drive to the northwest (37 miles).
