Hammerschmidt Industrial Park
The John Paul Hammerschmidt Industrial Park has 28 lots with all utilities available. It is located in Boone County between the towns of Lead Hill and Diamond City. The park is named in honor of the area's longtime Republican Congressman whose home is in Harrison. Two established area industries are located in the park and six lots are sold. Industrial Incentives Tax Rates: Income, Real and Personal Arkansas sales tax is 5.125 percent on goods and services. A 1% Boone County sales tax is also in effect. Arkansas income tax for individuals is graduated, up to 7 percent at the $50,000 income level. Arkansas corporate income tax is graduated. Example: A business with a taxable income of between $25,000 and $100,000 would pay $940 plus 6%. Business Licenses & Fees Lead Hill does not charge a fee for a city business license. Building permits issued by the city of Lead Hill include two inspections. The fee for a new residential building is $20.00, for a residential addition $10.00, and for a business building $30.00. In addition the fees for plumbing and electrical inspections are: residential $7.50 each; residential additions $5.00 each; and business $10.00 each. The sewer connection / inspection fee is $250, and the water connection/inspection fee is $135.
